  • MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS
    2014-02-25

In September 2000, the world leaders gathered in the Millennium Summit reaffirmed their common obligations to all the people in the world, especially the most vulnerable ones, with special attention to the children of the world, whom the future belongs to. They then committed to reach a set of specific goals, the so-called Millennium Development Goals, which will guide collective efforts regarding the fight against poverty and the promotion of sustainable development.

The guideline of AMU in the area of cooperation has sought to comply with the “Millennium Development Goals” defined in the UN Millennium Declaration (New York, 2000), with particular emphasis on the first two goals.
